The Best Neighborhoods in Columbia SC
Moving into a new city can be confusing and very difficult for a home buyer to find the best place to live. This city guide will give you a radius of about 30 or 40 miles outside of the City of Columbia. For the sake of geographic simplicity, we consider the downtown area of Columbia at the State Capital building. Columbia, South Carolina was strategically named the State Capital because it was the central location throughout the state. This area is also referred to as “The Midlands of South Carolina”. So you’ll find it easy to take day trips to anywhere around the State of South Carolina and even into parts of North Carolina and Georgia. You can get almost anywhere in South Carolina in about three hours or less. This three-hour time-frame includes The Grand Strand coastal region of Myrtle Beach, Historic Charleston-SC, resort areas like Hilton Head in The Lowcountry, and up to the farmlands of the Piedmont areas like Clemson, Greenville, and over to the swamps of The Pee Dee area.
