All About Blythewood Road
Blythewood Road is the main road that runs through Blythewood SC. You can enter onto Blythewood road by taking exit 27 off of I-77 just north of Columbia SC. Blythewood Road runs from "the stoplight" at the intersection of Wilson Blvd. (Highway 21) and ends at Highway 321 (known as Winnsboro and/or Fairfield Road). Here you will find several commercial real estate developments and entrances to residential neighborhoods.
Between I-77 and Highway 21 is where the majority of the commercial real estate can be found including several gas stations, The IGA Grocery Store, The USPS, Hotels, The Blythewood McDonalds, and a few other "fast food" chains.
On the opposite of I-77 you will notice that there are entrances to several residential neighborhoods including Cobblestone Park, Surreywood, and Ashley Oaks. There are also a handful of commercial business parks in development such as Montgomery Ridge. You will also notice that there are many of the old farmhouses and equestrian tracts scattered along Blythewood Road. Blythewood road is also the main street to get to popular roads such as Muller Road, Syrup Mill Road, Loner Road, Fulmer Road, and Pine Grove Road. If you venture down these streets you will find established neighborhoods and communities that once seemed unknown outside of the Blythewood Community years ago and have evolved into high demand of real estate investors. Pictured above is Persimmon Fork Road.
Blythewood is about 15 minutes from The City of Columbia, 25 minutes to Lake Wateree, and 1 hour from Charlotte NC. Visit our Columbia MLS Search page for more homes for sale in Blythewood.
