The Woodlands in NE Columbia SC

  The Woodlands (not to be confused with Olde Woodlands) is a mature subdivision that helped ease the Columbia Northeast from rural to suburban.  This modest sized neighborhood began development in the mid 1970's with many of the lots adjoining the fairways and greens of The Woodlands Country Club golf course.  For golfers and residents alike, there is a sense of community within The Woodlands neighborhood and there seems to be an ongoing communication between neighbors through the HOA.  This HOA covers the original development(map of covered properties) and the HOA does NOT cover all neighborhoods such as Woodlands Glen , Woodlands Links, etc.  So please talk to your landlord or the agent that you purchased your home from about specific covenants and fees that are associated with newer phases.  Furthermore, not every real estate listing agent has this information, so you may see listings on this page that were categorized as "Woodlands" on the MLS system but they are actually not part of this HOA.

  Homes for sale in The Woodlands have a variety of styles and sizes at an affordable price.  Since the architecture of the 70's brought a new dimension to the traditional home, you will find a hint of conservative Art Deco in this neighborhood.  The Woodlands subdivision was a blueprint for affordable luxury living from the beginning of this northeast housing development.  Mainly because it neighbors the all-mighty Wildewood (south of Sparkleberry Lane) and the prestigious Spring Valley Subdivision a few minutes south on HWY 1(Two Notch Road).  The Woodlands, Wildewood, and Spring Valley are very similar in amenities.   They are all situated on a golf course and all demand attraction from the home seeker that wants to be in this style of community in the northeast section of Columbia, what is now commonly referred to as "The Northeast".  With that being said, the biggest difference is price and home size.  For the sake of general reference... you will find homes in the 1700-2400 SF (more or less) in The Woodlands.  If you are looking for a home for sale in Northeast Columbia you should certainly explore this neighborhood.
