Longcreek Plantation | Westlake Farms Blythewood
Westlake Farms
Westlake Farms is located in Longcreek Plantation at the intersection of Longtown Road West and Westlake Farms Drive (Also at Columbia Club Drive). The southern border of Westlake Farms runs along the Rice Creek which fills Westlake Farms’ shared lake. This neighborhood lake gives access to property owners that have waterfront lots and it is not a public lake. The entire subdivision is approximately 160 acres in size and is created by 2 phases of development.
Phase 1 of Westlake Farms was developed in the 1990s and many of the lot sizes are over 2 or 3 acres in size. You’ll find these properties at the entrance of the subdivision with the two cul-de-sac streets by the name of Ascot Court and Derby Run Court.
The 2nd phase flourished around 2005 and lot sizes were reduced down to about 1 acre in size, which is still a fairly large lot based on other neighborhoods in the area. Phase 2 of Westlake Farms is at the end of Westlake Farms Drive and you will be able to identify this section by the street names; Keeneland Trail and Hialeah Park Lane, which are the two cul-de-sac streets before you get to the dead end of Westlake Farms Drive.
A similar neighborhood is on the opposite border of Rice Creek is the Westlake Woods Subdivision. All of these Longcreek Plantation neighborhoods are currently zoned for Richland County school district Two.
