Elmwood Park Columbia SC
Elmwood Park is a historic Columbia SC neighborhood located directly off of Elmwood Avenue (on Park Street) as you enter into Columbia off of I-126 from I-26. The Elmwood Park neighborhood has been described to me as a “cute” and “an upscale neighborhood” by many of the customers that I speak with on a daily basis. At any given time you will find plenty of historic homes for sale in Elmwood Park at just about any price point. It’s really difficult to classify the style of homes in Elmwood Park because there are many different features and colors that vary from street to street. Once you enter onto Park Street you’ll get a sense of the type of homes that fill this neighborhood. Many of them are wood-sided multi-level houses with wrap around and 2-tiered porches that overlook the street. These are the types of homes that you would see in many historic downtown areas around the south. The homes for sale in Elmwood Park would probably be classified as Victorian, Colonial, Bungalow, and/or Charleston style.
Any way that you look at it, these homes are all beautiful and the mature trees that line the streets create an inviting atmosphere. Elmwood Park is comparable to the Cottontown/Belleview neighborhood located on the eastern side of Columbia’s Main Street.
