Cedar Lakes Blythewood
Cedar Lakes is a neighborhood just outside the town limits of Blythewood. In fact, this original 800-acre development is split by Winnsboro and Blythewood addresses. Phase 1 and 2, located off of Cedar Lakes Drive, have a Blythewood 911 address even though it is in Fairfield County. On the other side of the lake, Phase 3 and the other 400 acres, are considered to be in Winnsboro.
Cedar Lakes is a neighborhood that was developed to create a neighborhood in a suburban/rural area that has the conveniences of the suburban lifestyle. Cedar Lakes is 13.5 miles from Interstate 20 and about 7-10 miles to I-77 at Blythewood Road. Lot sizes begin at 1.85 acres and the average is about 3.5 acres in size. The rolling topography makes for an ideal mountain-like setting with streams and several black water lakes and ponds.
The minimum square footage requirement is either 2000 SF in most areas or 1800 SF in others. However, most of the homes are much larger and custom-built. There is no builder team and you are welcome to bring your own builder to this neighborhood. You will enjoy the conveniences of natural gas, underground utilities, and public water.
