Arsenal Hill is a neighborhood located in the Downtown area of Columbia, South Carolina . Arsenal Hill is bounded by four of the main streets in Columbia and can be found between Elmwood, Assembly, Taylor, and Huger Streets.  This was one of the most historic and oldest residential neighborhoods in the city it gets its name from the Civil War era where General Sherman began his destruction of Columbia.  It is also one of the most visited areas in Columbia and this small neighborhood is home to Finlay Park and The Governors Mansion along with prominent government buildings such as Social Security Administration and The United States Post office.  It is also within biking/walking distance to The Vista, The Richland County Library, Columbia Museum of Art, The Congaree River, and the rejuvenated Main Street area.
