Farrow Pointe in Columbia SC

Farrow Pointe Subdivision is a residential neighborhood in Columbia SC.  It is approximately 40 acres in size with roughly 200 homes.  Farrow Pointe was developed around 2007 and home sizes started at just under 2000 SF in size.

Over the years as the neighborhood grew (and the “real estate bubble bust” recession ended) homes started increasing in size. 3 bedroom 2 bath homes needed to be increased to 4 bedroom homes with 2 or 3 bathrooms.  So Farrow Pointe was able to fulfill that need by offering new homes (around 2010) that exceeded 2000 SF in size.

Lot sizes in Farrow Point are roughly 5000 SF in size.  This is relatively small for the area, but it allows homebuyers the ability to own their own home and yard, and have a little more room, versus an apartment complex or Condominium. The vinyl-sided homes and small yards are ideal for anyone that wants a low-maintenance property.  Driveways and garages allow for the parking of 3 or 4 cars.  Anything over 4 vehicles, without using a garage, will overflow onto the street. There are sidewalks through the neighborhood and currently (2020) no pool or clubhouse.

 Farrow Point is in the “Columbia Northeast” area of Columbia.  The NE Columbia area is a section between Downtown Columbia and Blythewood. Many homebuyers like this area, because it’s neighborhoods are convenient to Fort Jackson and the home prices in Farrow Pointe subdivision are an “average home price” for Columbia’s real estate market.
