Longcreek Plantation | Crescent Lake Blythewood
Crescent Lake subdivision is located off of Longtown Road West in Blythewood’s Longcreek Plantation neighborhood. As you turn into the 150-Acre +/- Crescent Lake Neighborhood the road will make a “T” shape dividing the neighborhood into 2 different sections, one in each direction.
If you turn left, you will enter into the first section of the neighborhood that was developed in the mid-1990s. These homesites are approximately ½ acre in size with all brick homes 2000-3500 SF in size. Although not all of the homes are all brick construction, you’ll find that most of them are built with the same quality of construction materials. Additionally, there are numerous waterfront homes that front on Lake Columbia (AKA Lake Windermere).
If you turn right at the entrance you will go into the newer phase of Crescent Lake. This phase is larger and began development about ten years later around 2005. There are subtle differences in the two phases but there are more similarities than differences. There are also waterfront properties along Lake Columbia (Lake Windermere) in this section, but you will also find newer and larger homes. There are also a few golf course front homes along The Windermere Club (AKA Blythewood Country Club - 2019).
No matter which section of ‘Longcreek Plantation - Crescent Lake’ you decide to explore, the entire neighborhood is appealing. There are no sidewalks, no clubhouse, and no community pool, but you will find full-length driveways (not much street parking) and well-manicured mature yards that create a traditional neighborhood feel that seems to have been lost in new neighborhoods due to real estate developers and new home builders cutting their bottom line.
Crescent Lake Subdivision is located in Blythewood’s 29016 zip code and zoned for Richland County School District Two.
