Mike Falato is a seasoned real estate professional, having worked continuously in the real estate industry since 2003. His primary areas of specialty are residential sales and residential appraisals. During nearly a decade in his role as a licensed real estate salesman and appraisal consultant with Hunt and Associates of Columbia, Mike has become well-known as a "people person," who easily connects with customers from all walks of life. His personal concern and tireless commitment to each of his sales customers is regularly reflected in the genuine joy he finds in joining people with the property of their dreams. In his role as a certified residential appraiser, Mike has been recognized repeatedly as a leader in soliciting new business and as someone who is always working to stay informed about current market trends. These efforts have helped him become a true expert, who can easily and accurately determine a reasonable value for property his clients wish to purchase or market for sale.
A graduate of Francis Marion University, Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1997; his main areas of study included political science and history. However, soon after graduation, his natural love for people grew into a desire to help them reach their goals of home ownership. So, he studied and earned his South Carolina Real Estate Commission salesman's license. A few months later, in an effort to further expand his real estate skills set, he also worked and earned his certification as a residential real estate appraiser through The South Carolina Real Estate Appraisers Board.
As a young person, Mike spent equal amounts of time in both Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-where he was born-and Irmo, South Carolina-the city he and his family currently call home. These diverse life experiences have equipped him with a uniquely-balanced cultural perspective that he applies frequently in his role as a real estate professional. He understands that no two customers have the same needs or wishes regarding their real estate experiences. Yet, whether he's assisting a low-income family of four sell their home quickly in anticipation of a military relocation, helping an upwardly-mobile couple down the street find their first little bungalow, or even determining the impact that market fluctuations have had on the value of an affluent client's rental property, Mike's commitment clearly lies with the customer.
