Crickentree (pronounced Crick-in-tree) is a residential Blythewood neighborhood and formerly home to The Golf Club of South Carolina at Crickentree. It was originally developed in mid-1980’s and named “Blythewood Plantation”. “Crickentree” became the official nickname after changing names and ownership several times. The Crickentree neighborhood previously featured an 18-Hole golf course built into the rolling topography of streams, ponds and mature hardwood trees until it's closure in 2018. The Crickentree neighborhood can be found on Kelly Mill Road near the intersection of Hardscrabble Road in Blythewood, very close to the Jeep Rogers YMCA and Lake Carolina Elementary school.
Homes for sale in Crickentree are primarily situated on large wooded lots. There is a low monthly homeowners association fees that include the use of tennis facilities and a community swimming pool and clubhouse. The Crickentree real estate market offers existing homes, new construction, and building lots for sale. An Architectural Review Board(or ARB) reviews all house plans prior to construction and the consistency of quality homes is upheld by the exclusive builder team.
