Waterfront Property Columbia SC  Looking for waterfront property for sale in Columbia, South Carolina?  You have several options to choose from if you are making a decision of where to buy waterfront property in Columbia.  Columbia’s existence can be accredited to the rivers, streams and lakes that flow through downtown Columbia.  You will likely be able to find land or homes for sale on the water, but these properties are usually above the median price range.  So expect to pay a little more than you would for an interior property… or a “waterfront community” home. Values will typically increase with the amount of waterfrontage and the waterfront view that a property has.  For instance, a houses for sale on Lake Murray with 400 feet of water frontage on “big water” will likely be more expensive than a similar lake home that has 50 feet of waterfrontage in the back of a cove with obstructed views.  It’s not necessarily bad to be in a cove, but most waterfront homebuyers are looking for a lake view that is irreplaceable.
