Top 5 New Neighborhoods in Blythewood SC

If you’re interested in new home communities in Blythewood SC 29016, you don’t want to overlook our Top 5 List which is based on the inquiries that we’ve received about new construction in Blythewood.  We also will link to what we think will be the best new home communities in Blythewood for the 2021 year. At the end of this list, you will find links to each neighborhood.

  • Longcreek Plantation - Long Cove
Longcreek has been one of our favorite neighborhoods for many years and for many reasons.  Longcreek Long Cove is a new home community. The Long Cove Neighborhood consists of approximately 150 lots and the new home sizes have a square footage range of approximately 3,000 to 5000 SF. Kids can walk to Blythewood Middle School and even Round Top Elementary School. The location is convenient to Blythewood and The Columbia NE.  Long Cove is a Mungo Community.  We love their work and we (The Hunt Team) can represent you when buying a Mungo Home.  In fact, almost all builders pay our fees so that you don’t have to.

  • Ashley Oaks
Ahh...Ashley Oaks.  This is another new home development in Blythewood that we love.  We’ve written lots of information about Ashley Oaks in the past, but there seems to always be new construction ongoing in Ashley Oaks Neighborhood. It's a well-built community and among the first of the major Blythewood neighborhoods.  Phase 1 was designed in the late 1980s into the early 1990s and has been going strong ever since. The newest phase of homes is being built by Stanley Martin Homes(formerly Essex Homes).  They also pay buyer’s agent fees so that we can represent you at no additional charge to you. They are also a very good and well-respected builder in our area.

  • Weston Woods and Wren Creek
Although Wren Creek was developed as a custom builder neighborhood, it was taken over by Mungo Homes years ago and they continue to build in both neighborhoods.  It’s conveniently located near Westwood High School and close to I-77.  We like this neighborhood because of the charm and the variety of quality built homes in the neighborhood.  There are walking trails and a community pool that is in the center of the neighborhood where Weston Woods meets Wren Creek.  You can always ask us for details about any of the neighborhoods and we can help you cut through the chase of finding the right neighborhood for you.

  • Cobblestone Park
Wow!  This is an outstanding neighborhood and in the heart of Blythewood.  There are so many different selections here, you’re bound to find a home size that fits your wishlist. With smaller lot sizes, this neighborhood was initially developed as a resort neighborhood with 27 holes of golf, rolling topography, a fantastic amenity center with athletic fields, tennis courts, indoor basketball courts, and too much to write out in this Top 5 list.  There’s a lot going on here with several different builders.  DR Horton has a dominant presence here and we have worked with them on many occasions.  We are proud of our relationship with builders in Blythewood and DR Horton has a lot to offer. This is a gated community with a 24-hour guard.  So you may want to call us before you show up at the gate and get turned away.  We can prep you for what you’ll find in the hundreds of acres of homes.

  • Longcreek Gates of Windermere
We were a little skeptical of The Gates of Windermere coming in as the new kid on the block, but have quickly acknowledged that not everyone wants a large lot...as Longcreek Plantation is known for since conception.  The Gates of Windermere may seem compressed, with 135 homes, in comparison to neighboring Fox Meadow, Club Colony, and Windermere.  But in actuality, it’s a very nice layout.  It gives homebuyers the ability to own a modest-sized home (Maybe around 2000-4500 SF) without all of the dreaded yard work.  We aren’t knocking this neighborhood, that’s why it is on our Top 5 Best New Neighborhoods in Blythewood list. We can show you others like this also.  In fact, Weston Woods is a good comparison.
