Blythewood, SC: The Perfect Location for Your New Home

Blythewood, South Carolina is a great location for real estate investors and buyers who are looking for new homes and many with a bit more land. Located just a few minutes north of Columbia on I-77, Blythewood has become a popular location due to its proximity to the city and its various new home developments. In this blog post, we will highlight a few of the newer neighborhoods in Blythewood: Amber Creek, Blythewood Crossing, Hunters Run, and Wren Creek.

Amber Creek is a new home community located in Blythewood, SC that offers homes ranging from 1,900 to 4,300 square feet. These homes are made of brick and vinyl and are located near I-77, Hwy 21, and Doko Manor Park. This community is zoned for the Richland County School District Two.

Blythewood Crossing is another new home community in Blythewood, SC, located off of Wilson Blvd and Hwy 21. These homes, mostly of vinyl and fiber cement siding(AKA Hardiplank) with masonry accents, range in size from 1,400 square feet and up. With approximately 90 lots in this community, it's easy to get to know your neighbors. This community is zoned for Richland County School District Two.

Hunters Run is a residential neighborhood located in Blythewood, SC with new homes built by Peachtree Builders, Crown Communities, and Fortress Builders.  (All of these builders have been successful and have sold their businesses and are no longer in Columbia.) These large homes, up to 6,000 square feet, have 2 car garages, large kitchens, open floorplans, and hardwood floors. Hunters Run also has a community pool and cabana for residents.

Wren Creek is a neighborhood located in Blythewood, SC near I-77's Exit 24 interchange. This development is split down the middle of Wren Creek Drive and is divided into the "Wren Creek" side and the "Forest Creek" side. The Wren Creek side was developed around 2005 and consists of custom-built homes with a mix of vegetation. The Forest Creek side, developed around 2010, has a mix of homes, including larger estate homes and smaller townhomes. Both sides of Wren Creek offer a variety of home styles and are well-suited for buyers who are looking for homes above the average price for Columbia's real estate market.

You can also visit Weston Woods.  That's a part of the neighborhood that was developed as a phase of Wren Creek.  There are a lot of really nice new homes built in the neighborhood.  It's on the opposite side of the neighborhood from the pool (than Wren Creek).
