Looking for a way to keep all of your email addresses in one place? Well, this isn't exactly an article on how to use our site but should be helpful nonetheless. I've had so many real estate transactions and correspondence between buyers, sellers, customers, clients, attorneys, inspectors, investors and developers that I have found a perfect solution to keeping everything organized and retrievable in seconds. It's a Google product called "Gmail". The reason that I like this so much is that I can check my email from any computer and locate a past email message in seconds. If you are using Outlook or Thunderbird, there is no reason that you shouldn't use Gmail. Even if you want to continue to use other email clients I would suggest that you sign up for Google's product immediately. If you have ever lost data from a hard drive failure you will understand the benefits of having an online archive of all of your email messages. This is exactly what Google Mail will do for you. All that you have to do is configure your main mail settings so that your messages will be fetched and displayed by Gmail. It's very simple. If you have set-up your other email client then you already have the knowledge to configure your account online. All of your messages can still be sent to Outlook or Thunderbird but a private copy will remain online with Google.

You don't know how many times I've had to go back to a previous email message or attachment from months in the past. Gmail has a search tool that you can search keywords within the entire archive of emails that you have sent or received. For instance, I once was sent a message about a house for sale in Blythewood. I knew that it was in Longcreek Plantation but I couldn't remember the day that I sent it. So all that I had to do is go into the email search at the top of the page and type in "Longcreek Plantation". I then had a list of all of the emails that had the phrase "Longcreek Plantation" in them. You can always break down the search into broad terms if you feel like you have misspelled a word. Additionally, you can search email messages by specific "Contacts". Just go to your contacts and find the person that you are looking for. Say that I remember sending information about "Historical Homes in Columbia" to several real estate agents in our office, but only want to research the conversation that I had with Mike. If I search Historical Houses in Columbia SC I may get several search results. Instead, I can view Mike's "Contact" information and all conversations that I had with him with just a few clicks then narrow down the emails.

Google is probably the most innovative, trusted and most powerful company online. They are constantly building new products that we use in every day life. There is not a better free product on the market today that is as easy to use as Gmail.

I've also found "Picasa" and "Google Documents" as a staple in my daily use of photo and document sharing.
